Kamila
A unique hand engraved and painted mouth-blown decanter, which is now being reused as a vase. The vase is inspired by the owner, her love of faith, the family and her strong and powerful personality.
Story behind the work
Mary holds a flower in her hands which represents the birth of Jesus and celebration of life and the connection with God. She reaches it to heaven, God, and it grows further upwards. From her body, flowers grow downwards, referring to the name Kamila ( the person who it was made for), which means: blooming and flourishing. Mary is accompanied by an angel, Gabriel - the messenger, who is connected with her and also takes care of her. Mary has an areole around her and in her headscarf, there are hidden stars that 'grow' with 'the flower' to heaven.
