I am here...always

I created this painted and engraved stained glass art piece, this piece is inspired by ‘The center’ stained glass art piece. I wanted to create a smaller one for my mother, for her birthday.  It tells the story that the one you lost in life, is here with you always, for love is eternal and crosses space and time.

Around the edges waves of colors, grief with sprinkles of hope. And in the middle, a sun symbolizes eternity - the center, where we come from and will return. On the left is my mother and on the right is my brother Stefan who are both holding up the flower of life. The roots of the flower are connected to both their hearts ‘souls’, and as it goes down finding their way back toward each other. On top of the flower is the meeting of seeing and holding each other, the promise of love. And on the very edge down, the orange piece is a small teddy bear holding a heart symbolizing Stefan who is called the ‘bear’.

This art piece was a family gift, I engraved my brothers and my father in the piece.

In the hair of my mother, my brothers are biking and my father sits on a mountain, and I am sitting in the middle on the roots.
